Hi, You have to ask how the want to couple with the CPU and which CPU it is (there are many CPUs with a Profibus DP port), it could also be that they have a DP/DP-coupler or a CP342-5... When you know what they have (typenumbers is the best) we can help you further. |
I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |

They have a CPU 416-3. Part#: 6ES7-416-3XR05-OABO Does that help? What I'm running into is that if I do configure the DB as a slot to read it then the gsd restricts me to the first 32 bytes of the DB. |

Hi, I'm a little bit confused, in your first text in this thread youspeekabout S7-300, now you give almost the bigest S7-400, this CPU have more power then the Delta V system.... Do you want to couple the S7-400 as a Profibus DP-Slave....? If yes, see the next FAQ then, the Delta V is then the S7-400 and the S7-400 is then the S7-300 in this FAQ. Master-slave connection between two CPUs in different projects You cab download the GSD files of the CPUs from the GSD Simatic FAQ. |
I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |
