hello how are you I have a question I have an encoder in a production line which I want to replace since it is damaged but when connecting it sends me error F07955 the two encoders are the same they match in the code 6FX is a device from the s120 family later I connected through scout and extracted the data and it gave me a different motor I don't know if the encoder is the wrong one or it has a chip in the servo that tells it which servo it is or only the encoder has it please if you can help me since I need mount it to the production line. 

the two encoders match in the 6FX2001-3JC22-3DA0

Or do they have to match another encoder code?

Hello,

you have encoder with DriveCLiQ interface. It has motor and encoder data including serial number saved on chip. During startup drive compare all DriveCLiQ components data with saved information.

If you have set topology comparison to High (p9906 = 0), drive check all information including serial numbers.

You can set comparison level to Medium or Low (don't forget Copy RAM to ROM) and at next startup drive accept changed motor serial number and save it to topology.
