S7300 with Scada Connection Problem

Unfortunately we are using another scada software for this project ... Even we have no problemconnection between Winccwith S7300 , with this scada we have communication problem. PLC Ethernet coupler is configured using the Siemens Step7 software. Maybe we set the wrong things in Simatic Manager For protocol to workwe have two things *Fetch Passive. Write Passive. Write Passive portequals to Fetch Passive port + 1 (2000 - 2001) Partner IP address and port number field areblank We can connect the scada and plc. But After connection established : When we try to change registers or close and open the connection there are problem occurs. **Scada acts like connection lost Such as Bad connection variable quality on wincc (note that we are using different scada software) Do you know the right settings of Fetch Passive & Write Passsive ??? Do we need to use only DB or can we use MW olso ? Thank you from now on . Best regards

[:o] You can find this in the handbook where the 16 bytes of the frame are described. Structure of WRITE Frames The meaning and values of parameters shown without values in the following table can be found in the section “Parameter Values“ Structure of FETCH Frames The meaning and values of parameters shown without values in the following table can be found in the section “Parameter Values“. See both tables in the handbook S7-CPs for Industrial Ethernet Configuring and Commissioning[;)] When you look under E. Linking to Other Systems with FETCH/WRITE So after this you know what you have to do with other scada-packages.. [:mad:]

Its ok when we read data from plc , but when we try to write to plc I lost the communication. So we decided to buy "Softnet Lean" and cp1612 . are they gonna solve our problem completely ? [:o] With SOFTNET LEAN it will work for sure. Then you have also the opportunity to couple with OPC and the Application, so you have the oppotunity to check easy if the data is coming into the OPC Server with OPC SCOUT [;)]

Second, I have written a small code which changes the status of bit everysecondfor 2 plC So we keep plc awake, connectionstrong... Have a nice day

If you can connect a CPU via the ethernet CP to your STEP7 then the connection is OK and the problem is located in the SCADA software. Quickest way to solve this problem is to use the OPC-server as you did now, the other way is that you ask your SCADA software distributor for an up-to-date driver for this ethernet connection (it worked with Citect). I'm for this late reaction but I noticed this thread just today.
