update firmware H-CPU without shutdown factory

gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	Hello! I have 414-4H with firmware 4.07. How i can update firmware CPU (last version 4.12)without shutdown factory? I have flash card with new firmware. I can connect to cpu by step7 over ethernet.

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (264)	Well, according to FAQ Daniel mentioned From firmware V4.5, you can conduct an operating system update on an S7-400H system while the system is in operation. That means, that for FW before V4.5 Siemens doesn't guarantee anything. I would suggest performing such update in STOP mode, because stopping H-system is easier than dealing with consequences in case of unpredictable system behavior, that may occur if you ignore instructions.
