Hello desmul; Here are some recent links that should help you out: Where can you find information on the the dimensions of PROFIBUS connectors and where can you find dimensioned drawings of the PROFIBUS connectors? See also the following manuals: Collection of manuals on Profibus connectors Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Ohhhh terrible. Please anyone suggest me the connector that you have seen practicaly i repeat practicaly working. Now I am stuck I have practical experiance with only 6ES7972-0BA41-0XA0 and 6ES7972-0BB41-0XA0 but both are discontinued. I dont wanna risk my project for this small item, rather I choose to make soldering and termination resistor (stone age way) OR I am waiting your witness. Please anyone tell me which connector you buy and used recently? and Order code? Regards |

Hello desmul; If you want to continue with your firld experience, then simpy select the sucessor product as suugested by our friend manmeet. All of the connectors shown in the links above are recent, and differ only by angle of connexion (90 egrees, 60 degrees, axial) to adapt to different cabinets or different Profibus modules, or by type of internal connection for the Profibus cable (screw terminal, "vampire" pressure connection...). They are all easy to use and each have their use. For example, vampire connections are less subject to vibrating environments than screw terminals. for example, you will find that 60 degrees outelts are easier to setup on a S7-300 CPU inside a cabinet, whereas a S7-400 can easily use a 90 degrees connector. Some pumps I used (dosaing pumps) cannot easily be connected except with an axial connector, due to lack of space. Chapter 6 of the followingProfibus Network manualshould give you a good overview of the different types of Siemens Profibus connectors. Just look for the most adequate connector for your application, and practice a bit with the installation. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
