20005: AXIS X1 reference point approach aborted

 please post one picture when the 1st time machine has 20005: AXIS X1 reference point approach aborted--making screen-shot in the "Diagnosis"  to see all alarm, I think there may have other alarms

Do you ever check manual by yourself, there is alarm explanation for 20005 or   25201

in the manual "840D Diagnosis Manual", Google it

Hello,

I am using Siemens 840 d controller

I am getting the following error every day when I try to reference the machine in X direction

20005: AXIS X1 reference point approach aborted

After resetting the alarm, the machine again starts referencing for few seconds and then gives either (25201) ATC drive fault or X1 drive fault.

To clear the drive fault errors I have to restart the machine and do the same procedure as above for almost 7-8 times until the machine gets into the reference position.

So, can you please help with the error?

If the machine is equipped with a tool eye arm( for automatic tool measure), check that is not pressed or cables shortcut. Found this problem on the Hyundai HiT8 lathe with Sinumerik 810D. When referencing starts axis move to the reference switch, then the alarm mentioned above.
