2plc via profibus

I make profibus master/slave config. and a don t know how adress i should use for communication between plc s in direct mode with MOVE and i don t know how to make DB when I use SFC14/SFC15 and what is the address LADDR. I think it s address of profibus slave configuratios. i don t now. Can u help me? Best regards

Check this sample:
DP link between CPU 315-2DP (slave) and S7-400 (master) with STEP 7 V5.3

Description of the sample project:
The project has been created with STEP 7 V5.3 HF 1 and includes the configuration described above. Data communication takes place in OB1 by accessing the configured inputs and outputs.

Length of data area Addresses Read / write access Consistency of data

1 byte E0/A0 Load / Transfer Consistency over unit

2 bytes E1/A1 Word load / Word transfer Consistency over total length

5 bytes E3/A3 SFC14 / SFC15 Consistency over total length

Table 1: Data areas configured and access used in the program
In order to test communication from the DP master, the data sent from the DP master is diverted to the outputs in the DP slave.
Important:
When transmitting consistent data of a length of 3 byte or greater than 4 byte, you must call system function blocks SFC14 and SFC15 in OB1.

Finally also check the concise description(DP I-Slave modules LADDR.jpg )

I need to exchange data beetwen master and slave and I'm sure i made mistakes because it s not working in plcsim.Can u help me and change a sample (in LAD language) to be okay? Thank s Best regards George Hello, As far as I know,Master slave connection in PROFIBUS DP configuration can not be simulated by PLCSIM.You can not expect data to be sent from salve and receive it in master and vice versa. The only connection supported by PLCSIM is "S7 Connection". try that.You can also check your master-slave configuration with real CPUs. regards and I hope this helps! Hamid Hosseini

A) In master side ,OB1 1- Net2, you should write "DB1.DBB0" to QB2 as you configured that in your program to be linked to IB1 in slave side. 2- net3, no data link provided in IB1,instead use IB2 i.e data written in QB1 in slave side is available there. 3-net5, your start address for reading data by SFC14 in wrong.It should be IB100 and W#16#64 should be set in LADDR parameter. 4-Same problem in net6. W#16#64 should be set in LADDR in SFC15. B) In slave side 1-net2. data should be sent to QB1 2- net3, data should be read from IB1 3-in net5, W#16#A should be set in LADDR parameter. 4-Also in net6,W#16#A should be set in LADDR parameter. Some notes on how select address for links between inputs and outputs.The selected addresses should be in range of process image and also consider a safe margin from physical I/Os. ChessMaster because communication between two PLC trough Profibus is like as master and slave, is like having a remote I/O for Master CPU, So all input and out put are like a remote I/O have some address, These addreses can be find in hardware configuration and can be triggered by Simulater. There is other options when using CPs for PROFIBUS that support for example FDL, S7 Connection.It is possible to simulate communication between 2 CPUs with S7 connection with some system function blocks. check it here: How do you simulate communication between two CPU modules? Instructions: As from S7-PLCSIM V5.4 + SP3 you can use S7-PLCSIM to simulate multiple CPU modules simultaneously in a STEP 7 project and establish communication between the CPU modules. The following communication blocks are supported for communication: SFB8 "USEND" SFB9 "URCV" SFB12 "BSEND" SFB13 "BRCV" SFB15 "PUT" SFB14 "GET" SFB19 "START" SFB 20 "STOP" SFB 22 "STATUS" SFB 23 "USTATUS" Best regards Hamid Hosseini
