611U_Synchronized_PosZsw

Dear All,

I  working with Simodrive 611U and S7-300 PLC, i am facing problem while running the particular axis. I have checked the PLC logic, drive commands through Profibus, one bit not getting on "Synchronized" in "PosZsw". i am attaching the screenshot of profibus data diagnostic.

For getting this bit on, what condition should we checked? I have checked the manual, showing In synchronism SW3.3 , what it means SW3.3? version 3.3? 

and synchronize with master drive ?, how can i identify which drive should be in synchronize with this drive?

Manual describes about Coupling option.What is the use of coupling? 

 Please anyone guide /describe about my these doubts, so that i can move forward smoothly.

PosZsw.3 becomes 0 when slave drive is not in synchronis with master drive i.e. when following error between master & slave drive is out of tolerance set in P0318.8

Please provide more details like how positioning set point is fed, to PLC or drive? What is the application? Is it new under commissioning or old running machine? If it is old running machine, what alarm or fault is displayed on drive & PLC HMI? Please attach drive parameter file.

I have checked the parameter list, 318.0[Showing in expert list instead of 318.8] Dynamic Following error monitoring tolerance : 2mm 

Positioning set point send through Profibus. 

Its the running machine. No alarm/fault displayed in PLC/Drive. Machine axis is traversing.

Please let me know how the synchronization done, and how can i identify to which drive its synchronizing?

Its describing about coupling option, what is the meaning and working of coupling.

I am not that much worked in Simodrive, so please guide, how they have set the set point over the communication [Profibus Data] and what profibus frame size have set.

And in block they have defined Traversing block with some positioning value, how can i identify, where it started in drive side?.

From the drive parameter back up files, I understood the working of system is as follows.

1. A drive axis positioning synchronisation with master is activated via profibus bit PosStw.4

2. B drive absolute positioning with master is activated via profibus but PosStw.4

Position control word is transfered to both the drives via profibus. In your case, Step 7 PLC acts as a master. 

Since the axes has lost positioning synchronisation, refer positioning status bit i.e. PosZsw.3, you are not able to move axis. Please check/study PLC logic as how the set point is calculated & control signals are transfered to drive, which sets the synchronisation.

Dynamic following error = It is the comparison between measured & calculated position value. When the difference exceeds the value set in P0318 : 8, the output signal in positioning status words becomes low. So please check the encoder of your drive.
