Analog input module groups

SonnyD Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I am using the 8 channel 16 bit analog input module 331-7NF00. I don't understand why the channels are grouped in pairs. There are separate terminals for wiring currents and voltage inputs into a channel. Since the ADC will see only voltage why the grouping of channels?

Tim de Bruin Posts: 14 Rating: (4)	Hi SonnyD, This is probably because the channels of the analog input module (331-7NF00-0AB0) are not isolated seperately. They are isolated in groups of 2 channels. This info can be read in chapter4, page97of catalog ST70: http://www.automation.siemens.com/salesmaterial-as/catalog/en/st7001_e.pdf Greetz!
