Bad values with node-red when using more than 15 inputs

Hi all,

I have a LOGO!8 0BA0 with firmware 1.82.01, which i use for my pond drumfilter and automatic waterfilling of the pond. Also i use to measure 2 temperatures and 2 sensors for level detection.

The single LOGO delivered with the filter was not enough for the size of my project, so i bought a extension module with 4 in & outputs.

All is working perfect, also with LWE on SD card. Problem was that i missed an alert function. Also i never got the communication outside the netwerk working.

So I came along node-red, The S7 node and the Blynk node (which i used earlier on an Arduino). This works also without problems including notifications. But the problem is; When i want to use more than 15 S7 in- or outputs, i get bad values (failures) on all. I've tried to play with the cycle en timeout settings, also changing mode settings doesn't help. Als tried without LWE by removing the SD card, but problem stays the same. 

The program for the LOGO! is large i guess, could that be problem? Running out of memory or CPU capacity? Are the bad values a problem for the performance of the LOGO, because even with the bad values, node-red keeps updating the values to the Blynk app.

I can't reach the LOGO outside of my netwerk, tried to change the settings according to other topics but never got it working. With the blynk app (which uses it's own server) i can see the things i want to follow on my phone outside my own netwerk (on 4G instead of home wifi). As a bonus it's a safe option using Blynk.

With the alerts i mean a notification or mail send when i.e. my pomp stops, a temperature is low or the waterfilling is started. Blynk also takes care of this. I can't find anything like that in LWE or TD.

Thanks for your answer, i know about the CMR but i find it to expensive. Also my housing of the LOGO doesn't have any space left for it.

The node-red option with the Blynk node works just as wanted. I just want know if the limitation of the max. 15 in- outputs is a LOGO CPU capacity or memory problem (because of the large program i use), because i want to use more than 15. And are the bad values a problem for operating the LOGO normally? i.e. can it crash because of it?

I see that in your Node-Red flow,  you have defined multiple S7-in nodes as well as multiple PLC connections.  Each PLC connection is set to retrieve only one variable.   So it is possible that the LOGO! is reaching the maximum number of simultaneous S7 connections.

Better way to do this would be to define just one connection to retrieve all variables.  This way you have only one connection to LOGO!.  In the S7-in node set the "mode" to "All variables, one per message".

Indeed i was using mutiple connections in the S7 in/out nodes. I made one connection now and named it "LOGO!", in variables i added all needed in & outputs (i.e. DB1,INT1156) and named them. But instead of using "All variables, one per message" i still use "Single variable". For a new S7 input i select the same "LOGO!" connection and choose the wright input from the variable list.
