can,t running 840D using G-code genarate by CATIA

najib Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	hi guy.. somebody please help me.. my final project is fabricate car side mirror.. the problem is, whn i try running using sinumerik at pc (sinumerik pc suitable software).... the g code cannot be simulate, the srceen display "channel 1 selected program C:\ SI_TRAIN\DH\WKS.DIR\SHOPMILL not available or is e* " I also don’t know to transfer g-code to machine.. denzilg_sa Bronze Member Joined: 7/5/2007 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 77 Rating: (5)	Hi najib It seems if the post has not been set up correctly, as this is generating unneccary G codes, G40 is modal this means that Cutter comp is disabled on power on or reset, normally G40 must also be programmed with one of the axis that was used for G41,G42 In your case I would remove all G40 as they are not needed. Also when down loading programs the USB must be activaited as would a stiffy drive with Drive A: I do not know if this is done, but you could use the RS232 port on the OP to upload or down load your programs, remember to set the interface signals. The message you get is telling you it cannot even try to run your program so it has n't got as far as checking G codea 1, The program does not exist in the correct sinutrain directory 2, The program is not enabled 3, The program is open in edit mode when you try to run it. 1, Can you see the program in the program edittor and is it in the program directory. Create a program in the program edit mode and if you can run it cut and paste your program into it. 2, Enable the program 3, Close the program edit mode before trying to run the program Hope it helps
