for a PLC of this reference: 6ED1055-1MA00-0BA2

can you connect any type of sensor such as temperature or speed sensor?

or have can connect only a certain type of sensor and certain sensor?

The attached screenshot shows the technical description of the Logo 8! module you are asking about.

As you can see, it us an analog input module, accepting signals from 0-10 V or 4-20 mA.

As such, it will accept sensors (of whatever type, and any manufacturer) that outputs a voltage or current signal, within the stated ranges.

To distinguish between them in your program  you will need to scale the input analog signal to engineering values (gpm  rpm , m/s, degrees C) that represent the physical value you are measuring: flow, speed, temperature...

For PT100/1000 sensors has LOGO! a special analog input modul, the AM2 RTD (6ED1055-1MD00-0BA2).

It has two channels and a fix measuring range (-50 °C to 200 °C).

Some LOGO! base module (12/24 RCE(o) und 24 CE(o)) have 4 analog inputs (0-10V) onboard. This can you also use with a 500 Ω resistor to convert a 0/4-20mA in a 0/2-10V signal.
