Dear all, Recently I saw a very strange alarm in the Wincc alarm list. There is a CP341 watchdog alarm come and go in the alarm list but I could not find the source in the PCS7 (version 6.0). Please see the attached pictures for details. I would really appreciate if any expert can explain on this. Best regards, Eddie AttachmentAlarms.zip (55 Downloads) |

Hello, more information about the alarms you find in the OS project editor. There must be a list of all the user defined alarms and system alarms. More information about the alarm logging, you will find in the following manual chapter 8: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/15229149 An other possibility: Perhaps you will find some information about the fault in the diagnostic menu of the CP (There is a diagnostic ring buffer with the last 9 diagnostic messages): • Start the Siemens SIMATIC manager with your project. The fault "Watchdog" mostly is a fault of the software or hardware which cause a reset of the device. Perhaps the device actually is defect? Hope this might help you. |

Hi nussbaum, Thanks for your reply. I was able to find the message under alarm logging>message blocks. Please see the picture attached. However, the source of this message is pointing to nowhere in PCS7. I cannot acknowlege the message from the WINCC Runtime message list. Thanks for your advice again and I have rated 5 star for you. Regards, Eddie
