Hi I also had the same problem. When I changed the IP address between HMI and PLC. I don't have the PLC project cause it has a password on it. I don't have also the HMI project. I can change the PLC IP through TIA portal v13 on online diagnostics. I also did change the IP address on the HMI through the panel itself, but both are not communicating. I need to change the IP address so I can connect it through our local network to gather data through node red. Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Reconfigure the IPs so they are identical to what they were before. Once they are once again communicating, come back and ask how to connect to the PLC using Node Red in that environment. You _may_ need a router/gateway between your Node Red system in order to route requests and data to/from the PLC. Or, you may need to place your Node Red system on the same network as the PLC/HMI. Or, reprogram both the PLC and HMI so you can have the flexibility to do whatever you want.

Hi jejet21, If your HMI is almost "recent". You could change the PLC-HMI connection directly from the Setting on start up. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/67653385 Trying to help, Guillem |
