Communicate between CPU S7-300 and Micromaster420 with SFC13 and SFC14

You can use the sample that matches your requirement, e,g, "System functions SFC 14, SFC 15 (English): Diagn_wh_en.zip", along with the attached (and linked) documentation.

Please make sure you are using SFC 15 and SFC 14 for your application. SFC 13 is for the diagnostics of Profibus slaves on a network.

Hello Taha;

The SFCs and SFBs are available in the programming editor of Step 7, simply look for them in the instructions folder.

Explanations, programming instructions and details of all SFBs, SFCs and OBs for the S7-300/400 PLCs can be found in the following manual:

Hello Taha;

If you open and read the links proviuded earlier, you will understand a bit more of the Profibus communication requirements of a MM4 drive.

Based on your selection of PPO number (PPO: Profibus Profiles) when you drag a new drive on your Profibus configuration, there are 2 areas you can use for read/write operations on a Micromaster drive:

- PZD (process data), which includes start/stop, speed reference and running values from the drive

- PKW (parameter values) which consists of a 4-word telegram allowing the user to read and change the drives'as parameter values, one at a time.

The PZD area may be changed one register at a time (using Load/Transfer instructions in STL, od MOV in LAD) or all at once, using SFC 15 and SFC 14; this choice depends on the suser's programming style and will work in any case.

The PKW must be written as a single consisten 4-wordtelegram and must therefore use SFC 15 and SFC 14 in the user program.
