Communication between TIA Portal and S7-300 via Rs232-MPI Adapter

JuhaM8 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	HI. I have the same problem. I want to communicate with TIA Portal Profesional V12 SP1 with a S7-300 CPU, but I can't do it. The problem is that I can't find the adapter in the online access of the TIA Portal. Cable what I use is RS232-MPI adapter (6ES7-0CA23-0XA0) and PLC is 6ES7 314-1AG14-0AB0 . So, why "Accessible devices" not find that MPI adapter? Look Attachment Attachment AccessibleDevices.jpg (607 Downloads)

I have a customer (an end users having been supplied with STEP7 5.5 version software by machine builders and having been advised by Siemens to buy the TIA portal) desperately waiting to hear whether they can still use their MPI adapter (USB but COM port based). Your answer will be greatly appreciated (even if the answer is "no")!
