Communication with LOGO 8

Having trouble setting up basic communication with a 0BA8 Logo pure with out display.  

Other units i have used all had the display, where you could go in and set a known IP address.  Without this, am not sure how to get it to talk to my PC.  I found in this forum that the default IP address was 192.168.0.1, but this does not seem to be working.  Anyone able to provide some basic instruction on what to try?  

The PC and the logo should be on the same IP address space.

XXX.YYY.ZZZ.nnn

Xxx.yyy.zzz must be the same, only nnn must be different.

Example:
PC = 192.168.178.12
Logo = 192.168.178.13.

The subnet mask must be the same, for example, 255,255,255,0.

To change the IP address of the logo by software:

Create a small program. Among the properties, enter the desired IP address and desired subnet mask.

Then transfer the program to the logo.

When transferring PC > logo, click in the blue, circular double arrow icon.
Then you will the logo appears that finds the software.
This IP address as target and transfer the program.
At the end of the transfer you are asked if the IP address to be overwritten.
Confirm with Yes. Finish the logo has the new IP address.

My issue is that I can't seem to even establish basic communication to even execute the download.

I took your advice and with a hard wired LAN connection between computer and logo, manually entered IP address and subnet mask in my computer (under TCIP4 options, running window 7) and then in the logo program under general details.  I have gone to the extent, to down load the matching program with the asigned IP to a SD card and booted the the logo with the program.  

Have gone through this a couple times with no luck,  Logosoft 8 wont recognize an available unit.   Any more thoughts?  

With the SD card is not as good. Even if you now want to change the IP address of the logo, it will be overwritten when starting up the logo with the IP address of the program on the SD Card.

Start the PC, type "ipconfig" and tell us:

IP address from the PC.
Subnet mask from the PC.

Do you have a direct connection between PC and logo?
Or go you through a router?

When you go through a router:
Which IP address does the router?
Which subnet mask has the router?
