Connection Failed- The selected online target could not be reached

I can search for and find my PLC in the download to... section, and I can even turn on the LEDs from my PC!

But when I try to download the software/hardware, this error pops up.

How can this be, given that my PC clearly can establish a connection with the PLC?

check the ip settings.

in you project your use IP 192.168.0.1, and the PLC which is found have 192.168.1.176.

Have you PC a IP in adressrange 192.168.1.x and 192.168.0.x?

 if you have the same problem, then correct the IP Adress so that PC and PLC are in the Same IP Range, then the problem is solved!

I setting IP address PLC: 192.168.0.1

Address PC: 192.168.0.5 or 192.168.0.100.

Connection Failed !

Go to "Online&Diagnostics" and click on "Functions" then "Assign IP Address" and in the dialogue box click on the "Accessible Devices " button.

You should get a popup confirmation. Then click on "Program Blocks" and download to device.

Any errors, please post pictures of them.

better will be use some utility that find your CPU on network, but for first make again Download and look carefully to messages in Output window and look if there's message like this: Found accessible device on 192....... or other IP. Other situation after this success find can be if PC establish connection to PLC. If you absolutely sure that your PLC and PC are at same Subnet with IPs try ping that PLC or use ARP command to look devices on subnet (try help on web how to use it). With this command you see all devices with IPs on momentary subnet. Pls try this and give info.

quit the message with ok, then go to the "extended Download" dialog and scroll up the list to see which error is reported.

Why do you configure a Gateway adress? Do you have a Gateway or a direct connection between PLC and PC?

And :

Which PLC with which FW do you use?
Which TIA Version do you use ?
