Thank you, is there a way to thoroughly understand the difference between PWM and PTO and to pick which one that suits my Stepper/Servo application?

Hello, The differences you can read in the S7-200 System Manual From page 148. You will find additional information regarding the EM 253 too. For most stepperdrives PTO is used, PWM is mostly used to regulate (small)DC motors direct on the digital outputs or temperature with the use off solid state relais. Regards, Marcjan |
