Continue SFC after cpu restart

meyme Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, experts. I have a problem with sfc and pcs7. I have a lot of sfc types in my project, and if the cpu restart i need to continue the execution of the sfc where it was before the cpu goes to stop. There is an option in the properties of the sfc to "continue", but when it happens, the output "TRIG_CPU_RESTART" goes to "TrigCPUR" and the sfc continues on run but with errors. I try to "RESUME" the sfc after this but with no results. Anybody knows how it works? Thanks.

JerryK Posts: 17 Rating: (3)	Hi, try to right mouse click on your SFC. Then "Object properties" and tab "CPU Operating Parameters". There will be your choice: Operating mode - AUTO, Cyclic execution and Autostart. After warm start SFC will run automatically. Is this answer helpfull for you? JerryK

Also followed the information under below link https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/48933314 Did not work either. The problem resolved only after full download. I think this problem with the option clicked as Retain SFC state in SFC property, Which is the real need of the process. Waiting for anyone with suggestions to solve this issue. Used version : PCS 7 v9.0 Sp1

This is shown by a resume icon on the right side of the faceplate. Inconsistent data is when a step transition is executing while the PLC goes to error. This is shown by a red returning arrow. The procedure for consistent data is as follows: You need to set Resume/Abort/Stop/Reset in order to remove the CPU Restart icons. When the SFC is in Idle,you need to start the SFC manually in order to use one of the buttons above. When the Retain SFC state is used, the SFC will not return to Idle, but you need to set one of the above buttons. During inconsistent data after a restart, you need to Reset the SFC.

Bhairava Experienced Member Joined: 6/2/2010 Last visit: 7/26/2023 Posts: 29 Rating: (2)	The SFC Instance affected by CPU restart had the output status as below QAUTMAN - AUTO RUN - Run EXEC_ERR - ExecErr ERRG - CollErr CPU_REST - CPURestart TRIG_CPU - TrigCPURestart And the Indication is Green Arrow (Consistent Data). The only way I could bring back the SFC to execution was by taking SFC to Manual mode and applying Resume command through SFC Control Panel or SFC Visualisation Panel. But it was not possible to do the same by writing SFC internal commands or may be I didn't try the proper way. Can anyone help out with proper solution.
