"Convert" project - From TIA Portal V15.1 to Step7 version 5.6

Hello.

How can I open a project I made in TIA Portal V15.1 in the Step7 version 5.6

We sold the project, but my client can only use the Step7 software.

Hi Gabriel BlueSensor,

You can't open a TIA Portal project in SIMATIC Manager.

The only option you have - assuming you are using a S7-300/400 in the project - is to create source files from your PLC program blocks and then import them into SIMATIC Manager.

Migration from some versions of Step 7 v5.x to Step 7 v1x is possible, within certain limits.

Converting from Step 7 v1x to Step 7 v5.6 however is not possible. 

Does the client intend to modify the program you sold them, or simply print it out to have an archive? A trial license for Step 7 v15.1 would give him full functionnality of Step 7 TIA Portal for 21 days, free of charge. It is used by usrs to try out the software before purchasing a license, normally, and once the trial period is over the purchase of a license is required.
