CP341 Modbus and P_SND_RK Status!!

Farid Z Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear everybody, I'm trying to set up Modbus Communication for a CP341 Modbus Master. I am using the P_SND_RK (FB8)and P_RCV_RK (FB7) blocks. I have set up the P_SND_RKblock. When I go live I am getting an error on the P_SND_RK block. I have saved the status to a DB and the error stauts is W#16#80c. What I would like to know iswhat this error status means? Can anyone knows what this error code means? Thanks a lot for helping

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello Farid, 080C means the CP recognized a framing error. So you use different parameterization for master and slave for baud rate, parity or stop bits, or, when you are using RS485 interface you connected the R(A) and R(B) vice versa. Regards, Kaulquappe

Farid Z Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello Kaulquappe, First, thank you very much for your answer. I checked the parameters of the master (S7) and the slave. Now the error code status is 16#709!! Could you tell me what that mean. Could also how you get the signification of error codes!!?? Thanks a lot,

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello Farid, you can find the error codes in the manual of Modbus master and some general ones in the manual of CP341. When you get 0709 I think you changed the protocol. 0709 is an error number of protocol 3964. Regards, Kaulquappe

Farid Z Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear Kaulquappe, Exact,I use the modbus communication RTU (3964) with interface RS485! (the CPU S7_300 is the master) The TXD led is blinking but not the RXD!!

Did you you installed theHW-Dongleinto backside of the CP341? Did you downloaded the modbus master driver to the CP? Farid Z Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello Kaulquappe, I need the modbus protocol (sorry I'm not an expert in communication :-)). So, with the modbus protocol I still have the same error code (080c), the parameters are ok and I don't understand why I still have this error!!! (the TXD end RXD are both blinking)...
