CPU 314C-2 PN/DP modbus/tcp

Jens_app Gold Member Joined: 1/5/2011 Last visit: 6/15/2024 Posts: 815 Rating: (123)	Dear all, I'veread you need a license for modbus/tcp communication or else the CPU goes into SF and the diagnostics buffer gets spammed...(pretty lame if you'd ask me,since it's an open standard). Now offcourse I don't want that, so I'd like to know, which license doI need for modbus/tcp on a 314C-2 PN/DP CPU (6ES7 314-6EH04-0AB0)? Also I own tia portal V11, maybe that's important for the modbus library, do they provide that library on CD with the license?Would anyone be so kind to assist me?A product code and some information would be very welcome, from there on I'll contact my local dealer. The product is released for STEP 7 V5.5 or TIA Portal V13 Update 3 or higher. It is not possible to install the product for TIA Portal V11, but it is possible to migrate a STEP 7 V5.5 project containing the Modbus/TCP blocks to TIA V11. The following FAQ describes how to migrate such a project: How do you use the blocks for MODBUS/TCP communication over the integrated PROFINET interface of the S7-300 and S7-400 CPUs and IM151-8 PN/DP CPU in STEP 7 Professional (TIA Portal)? Most likely you will geterrors when compiling a project with copied Modbus blocks. Regards, Sakura
