Good day guys, I am configuring a new S7-400H system. I have worked on such systems earlier as well but never faced this problem before. My system architecture is as follows. UR2-H rackwith 18 Slots. Both Racks (0 and 1) has one P.S in slot-1 and CPU in Slot-4. I have attached the configuration of both CPU's for your reference. The IP address of the PN-IO port is 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2. ET-200M rack has the Configuration attached in the file. After downloading everything in the CPU the Rack-0 CPU has no alarm and everything is OK. But the Rack-1 CPU changes to run mode but the EXT.F LED stays ON. All ET modules are healthy with no error and reading good also. When i read the Diagnostic buffer following information is retrieved. Diagnostic buffer: Event 25 of 92: Event ID 16# 5961 Parameter assignment error in CPU module parameters Parameter: module type Input address: 32767 of the module with parameter assignment errors Error type: type ID not detected ID Operating mode: LINK-UP Event occurred in the standby CPU in rack 1 External error, Incoming event 12:06:52.820 AM 01/01/1994 (Coding: 16# 5961 F10B C17B 0001 7FFF 0B07) Obviously i don't have any module with I address of 32767. This this is something weird which i couldn't understand. Just would like to mention that the 400H rack was not ordered as Bundle due to some limitation for freight by air due to battery. But the order code and firmware versions in both CPU's are identical. I tried configuring the whole rack again but same result. Your prompt response is highly appreciated. Good day sir, Sync modules are OK and FO communication link is healthy also. There is no Light for IFM1/2 on the CPU. Worth mentioning that there is no fault on Rack-0 CPU AttachmentDiagnose.txt (78 Downloads) |

Hi, In the diag buffer entry 7 suggest the Linkup/Update complete all right.: Event 7 of 92: Event ID 16# 7303 ... So the logic dictates there is an external error triggered on the rack1. As no entry in buffer suggest what is the EXTF, I would check the ususal suspects: Power Supply, Battery etc... If that does not help maybe you could have a look at the SIMATIC Fault-tolerant systems S7-400H manual under "5.2 Monitoring functions of the CPU" and check every possible cause for EXTF. |

Hi, You could swap that as well. I think it is highly unlikely, but worth a try. Hm. Maybe you could have a look at the SIMATIC Fault-tolerant systems S7-400H manual under "5.2 Monitoring functions of the CPU" and check every possible cause for EXTF. |
