Goodmorning, I'm assuming your are using a real CPU, not PLCSim. 1. Did you download hardware configuration? or only NetPro. If so, please download hardware configuration first. 2. Set the PG/PC interface to: "PC Internal". This means you have a sort of virtual bus, which can connect to multiple protocols like ISO, TCP/IP etc. Please set this interface for all PC stations also, it's perequite to do this. |

Hi jkrinicky, Good that you found the problem! Ofcourse it is possible to use PLCSim, not in all cases though. But you can start up PLCSim, it is the icon next to the NetPro icon in Simatic Manager (sorry can't show you a picture at the moment). The PLCSim will set the PG/PC interface automatically and you can download your PLC hardware, netpro and CFC program the same way like a real CPU. One thing to remember is that PLCSim does not work with named connections. If you want to use an OS, you will have to compile the OS through a protocol like Industrial Ethernet or TCP/IP. You can select this when you start the compile. In the second diagram of the compile, you can select a button called: "Connections" and thus select a different protocol to compile. |
