CPU1212C DC/DC/DC does not exist in TIA portal V11

Ignacio_Janac Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello! I have some troubles with a CPU1212C DC/DC/DC v3.0 and TIA portal V11. I need to back tranfer the program from that device (to make a new HMI, so I need the DBs directions), but its firmware does not exist in my TIA portal devices list. I have applied the UPD3 package, however there still no showing that version. Thanks in advance!

If that is not sufficient, you may need Portal V12 SP1 - and maybe a hardware support pack. As an FYI, portal V13 is the first Portal version that can completely back up your PLC software and hardware. HMI may or may not be back-transfer capable. Depends on a lot of things.

To get the programming only out of the PLC you have with V11, SP2, Update 5, you also (as posted above) need the hardware support pack(s) that include your specific PLC by part #. I do not recall if it is HSP #26 or #33. You can install all the HSPs available for your V11 setup and it should become available. Can you create a blank project with the exact same part # that is printed on the PLC you are attempting to backup? If so, the hardware support pack is not required. If not, it is.

This and more updates are found: [LINK] The hardware catelog needs to be updated with HSP0026. Please follow the above link. I have worked with the V3 S7-1200 on TIA V11. Updating to TIA V13 is not a requirement.. but I can recommend it for the its functionality AND most important - the V4 S7-1200 only works on TIA V13. w
