I think faceplates are not described in a good way in the WinCC pdf files from the installation disc. I got to understand more about it by Komi's samples instead. |

I know that part of the faceplate documentation but from my point of view, faceplates in a standalone WinCC projects are only very interesting when you can work with access to external tags inside the faceplate. It is possible but you have to know how and as far as I've seen, it ain't documented but thanks to Komi, I managed to find my way in it. I guess it all depends on ones background. I had no real Siemens background but was put onto a project for developping the WinCC part of it. |
