Declaring an array of axis

Hi,

I'm new to motion in TIA Portal. I'm programming a CPU1512SP-1 PN. I've created technological objects corresponding to my axis.

I'm looking to create an array of axis that would then allow me to access each axis features by doing

AxisArray[0].StatusDrive.Error; AxisArray[1].PositionControl.SmoothingTimeByChangeDifference...

I created a new DB with an array of DB_ANY, and I can then attribute my technological objects to it like this :

"AxisArrayDB".PositioningAxis[0] := "Axe Z";

("Axe Z" being my technological object).

Then problem then is that if I try to do

#TempBool := "AxisArrayDB".PositioningAxis[0].StatusDrive.Error;

it doesn't find any of the sub elements of the axis, I don't get auto completion and it makes an error.

I am probably missing something, there probably is something else I need to declare.

Type of DB_ANY at compile time is not known. 

What you can try is to create an FB with input of type TO_PositioningAxis. Let's call the input - i_SomeAxis. Then you can: 

#myBool := #i_SomeAxis.StatusDrive.Error;

I have no idea if it works at runtime as expected. But at least it compiles. 

 Thanks for your answer. It compiles, but by doing that there is no more array and I can no longer go through my axis using an index. With this method I will need to execute operations for each axis separately.

The document I linked seems to indicate that it is possible but I don't understand why they don't have an error or if addionnal setup is required.

You created an FB block with only an axis object as input and that'all ? No code inside ?

What are your GetAxisStatus and SetAxisSomethingElse ? Other FB blocks ?

Where did you filled an array with your axis ?
