Hello, I'm having a similar problem. Initially, I created a project on TIA v13 SP1 Upd9 using a CPU 1214C (6ES7 214-1AG40-0XB0) FW 4.2.2 and a CP1243-7 LTE (6GK7 243-7KX30-0XE0) FW 3.1.24. The DIAG LED blinked red and the NETWORK LED remained on (red color), meaning "Missing SIM card", according to the manual (C79000-G8976-C381-01, page 29). I tried at least 3 different SIM cards, with no success. I used the same cards on a SCALANCE M874-3 (6GK8574-3AA00-2AA2) and they worked fine. I installed TIA v15 on a computer with Windows 10 build 1803 and converted the project, replacing both CPU and CP with the correct FW (v4.2 and v3.1, respectively), downloaded the project, but the CP continues to show DIAG and NETWORK LEDs. The antenna is connected to the CP 1243-7. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

While online with the PLC, right-click on the CP1243-7 module in the PLC module layout, and select online & diagnostics. Review the diagnostics status and buffer. It should help you figure out what is going on. Is there a configuration set of logic required in the PLC to start these modules?

huggy_d1, thank you for replying. The "Diagnostic status" of the CP 1243 says that the Module exists and it is OK. Still in the "Online & diagnostics" tool, the section "Mobile wireless interface" section says that the mobile wireless interface is not responding. I activated the advanced CP diagnostics, according to page 68 of the CP 1243 Operating Instructions manual. Two things have drawn my attention: 1 - The TAG "Mobile wireless signal quality (LED) has the value "3", meaning "Waiting for PIN / no PIN configured", according to the manual. I tested different SIM cards, and even without a card in the slot the value remains the same. As I said earlier, the LED blinking pattern means that the SIM card is missing, so the correct value for this TAG shouldn't be "2"? 2 - I configured the Ethernet Interface of the CP module with a fixed IP, but the TAG "Current IP address" shows the address "0.0.0.0". I'm attaching some screenshots to clarify the data posted above. Any thoughts would be appreciated. AttachmentDiagnostics_CP1243-7.zip (150 Downloads) |
