Different position value is visible

I have a problem in integrating a Sick Encoder in TIA Portal. May be you can help me.

My encoder is (18*12) resolution i.e. multiturn

Resolution per revolution = 2^18 =262144

No of revolutions = 2^12 = 4096. 

I did everything which you mentioned in the thread including enabling of the scaling function.

My problem is when I am rotating the encoder for one revolution, it should show the position value = 262144 after one revolution. But it is showing a totally different value. Can you help me, why is it so.

You also mentioned you checked your encoder by homing it. How can I do Homing of Encoder in TIA Portal.
