Kolma Posts: 57 Rating: (1)	Hello! I'm in a big hurry. I would like to connect with my PG to plc through internet. When I tried to do it in office it doesn't work. When I connect to CP directly with PG with crossover cable I can see only CP, no CPU. I've configure it in hardware configuration and downloaded to PLC and with MPI communication I see both CPU and CP. Do I need anything else? Thanks, Kolma

Dear Kolma, Which Lean card do you have and which STEP7 version, the CPU-type and firmware version could be also a problem. Normally it must be possible to program over Ethernet (LAN) to the CP343-1 Lean. It might also a problem when the CPU you are using is some older. See also the list with compatible CPUs and CPs as of V5.0 SP3 HF3 Routing-compatible SIMATIC S7 modules as from STEP 7 V5.0 SP3 HF3 What requirements must be fulfilled and what should I watch out for when executing Routing?

Calm_down Posts: 324 Rating: (30)	Hello Kolma, you do not need any additional Software for your configuration. I think your problem is on the networking side. The issue is the connection over the Internet you use. If you have a VPN, e.g. with MS VPN Client, to your VPN Router this has to work. If you do not use VPN this is a bit more complicated. What you can do in such a case is to use Port Forwarding. If you have a fixed IP Address on your ISP Gateway / Router, you have to forward the Port 102 to the single PLC you use. More than 1 PLC on Ethernet can not be programmed with Port Forwarding. The same can be used if you have a DynDNS setting. Than you have to set the IP Address of the Internetconnection to your Step 7 Project (HW Config of the CP), store it but do not save and compile! Do not download the HW Config to the System! (This can all be done with VPN just to be said +the use of multiple PLCs) Than it should work. Stay calm.

Is your PC with software to protect it, like a firewall..... it could be that the firewall is blocking the connection.
