Error copying files from 840d to FTP

Hi,

I am trying to get files off of the Siemens 840d SL control using the network

For FTP I can get it to connect, I can copy files from FTP to the CNC, I can create new folders in the FTP from the CNC, and I can delete files on the FTP from the CNC, but when I try to paste files from the CNC to the FTP I get the error: "The directory cannot be created".

using the same credentials on a FANUC control I can paste files onto the same FTP 

I also alternatively tried to set it up on the 840d as a windows network drive using a share folder outlined in https://cache.industry.siemens.com/dl/files/198/109477198/att_849782/v1/109477198-Application_Integration_of_SINUMERIK_840D_sl_in_company_network_en.pdf

but I keep getting Error "Error on establishing connection" when mapping the network drive in the setup>hmi>logic drives page

First of all you should check network setting on your machine (IP, subnet mask, DNS if required).

Attached manual will help you.

i set the machine IP address to

xx.xxx.xx.205

subnet to 255.255.255.0

I also have set the DNS and Default gateway to the router xx.xxx.xx.1 which is what it shows on the windows 10 PC ip config.

Earlier i tried dns and default gateway as blank as well.

after every edit i powercycle and try again and same errors persist with copying to the ftp, and trying to mount network drive. 

What port are you using for connection (X127 or X130)?

Does subnet mask match to subnet mask of your local network?

Are you using similar subnets on machine and on server?

Also post here your TCP/IP configuration screen (like on attached picture). [Diagnostic]>[BusTCP/IP]>Vertical softkey [TCP/IP diagnost.]>select your connextion X130: Compdny network>Vertical softkey [TCP/IP config.]

 I just found the basesys file.

would this be done on line 216:

FirewallOpenPorts="TCP/5900 TCP/102 TCP/1391"?

 and editing it to 

FirewallOpenPorts="TCP/5900 TCP/102 TCP/1391 TCP/21 TCP/20"

Hello.

As fare as I can see you say you are using FTP? 

I have personally never done this my self so this is just a suggestion.

If you use FTP it means you are using Port 20/21 but in the firewall on the last picture you have not opened port 20 or 21? Have you tried to open these ports in the basesys.ini file?
