Hello, It is possible to connect S7-1200 CPU with ET 200SP fail-safe through Profinet interface. |

Thanks ! I thought that only the S7-1500F was compatible with ET200SP with Fail-Safe Modules via Profisafe ! |

The main thing you need to be aware of is currently the 1200F CPUs do NOT support Profisafe, so they cannot communicate "safe" data over the Profinet, to safe IO In the example you mention, if you must have safety remote IO but are willing to use a 1510F CPU then perhaps you can do a shared device to control the standard cards from the 1214FC, and control the safety cards locally with the 1510F I believe with this solution you might be able to implement safe communication between the two CPUs (but I'm not 100% sure) First you implement an IO device on the 1500 with FCD transfer areas and use the FSENDDP/FRCVDP functions as described in this manual: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/109478798/109478798_config_idevice_safety_DOCU_V1d0_en.pdf It probably does not matter too much which CPU is the controller I-Device as long as you follow the manual, and may be tell us if it works :) The reason I think you have a chance is that I don't think Profisafe is used in this instance |
