NEW TO THESE DRIVES HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I am using a SIMOREG DC- MASTER DC- CONVERTER PN: 6RA7095-4KV62-0-Z MOTOR DATA: GE - 761 ST SHUNT DRILLING SN: 7533652 600 HP F.L RPM - 1200 FIELD CURRENT: 40 ADC 640 ARM AMPS PROBLEM Drive cannot reach required current limit of 640A to pull my load of 70,000 Lb, when i start to pull drive only puts out 210A, it reaches its max field current, it only pulls about 3 inches and stops. drive faults out on F031, i do not understand what values i should be putting into 590 and 591 if this is causing my problems. i have sent my parameter list to the tech support and after analyzing they said they cannot find any faults. i have done the optimisation over and over again, done that calculations for the resistive and inductive currents and pluged it in manually, still the same problem. I recently descovered that my power factor on my generator bugs down to 0.11. Now my problem is why isnt the drive allowing me to even get closer to my set current limit which if it does, i would be able to lift the load POSSIBLE CAUSE three weeks ago while drilling, the drum brakes came loose and the motor spun backwards, which intails that the drive might have been hit with a regenerative energy, but there was no faults on the drive. could this have destroyed something in the drive? if so, why no faults to point me in the right direction? how can i tell if the drive is bad? Attached you will find my parameter list. AttachmentSIMOREG DC MASTER_tmp.zip (370 Downloads) |

Hello. The problem I think is in setting of variable current limit in P603. From your parameter list P603.01=K0015 - this is the value from analog input (terminals 6, 7), which may reduce the total curent limit. Check how this analog input is used in your drive and what voltage you have at terminals 6,7. Look at function diagram sheet G161 in themanual of 6RA70, and check the result values of current limits in connectors K0131, K0132. |

OK maybe i did not make it clear the way i stated it. I am running my current limit command through a Siemens PLC, which just sends a straight 640A current limit request to the drive through X174 6,7, i swapped the output from P603 which gives me my current limiting protection to P755 using K0015 and now it works, my question was why would it not work when i was using P603, it was only allowing the drive to put out 210A, i would like to rum my output through P603 again but cant figure out why it limits me to 210A.
