Dear Tomy Master You can find description of these functions(FB 58 "TCONT_CP" and FB59 "TCONT_S") in this link: PID Temperature Control In chapter 6(Examples for the Temperature Controllers),Their applications with a process simulator function combined.So, it would be helpful to follow the examples and learn how to use and parameterize the functions.The examples are available as "sample project zEn01_13_STEP7__PID-Temp" and can be accessed easily in SIMATIC Manager (File->open->sample projects). Dear Tomy Master Also check this attachment for changing the default parameters with VAT. Progran in continuous controller folder of "sample project zEn01_13_STEP7__PID-Temp" is initialize the PID controller to manual.We turn done by reseting DB58.DBX42.1.Then PID algorithm automatically reacts to changes in setpoint .Note, as it shown in the attachment, increasing GAIN(DB58.DBD166) can cause overshoot but icreasing the Ti (DB58.DBD170) decreases steady state error.TD (DB58.DBD174) is zero to eliminate effect of D controller.As TM_LAG is part of differentiator ,it has no effect in this case.
