Bryll Posts: 168 Rating: (5)	Is it possible to establish a connection with an inverter from TIA V12 if I am connected to the CPU via profinet and the inverter via profibus to the CPU ?? I suspect it can't be done, but I hope I'm wrong

Bryll Posts: 168 Rating: (5)	I can actually see that there's some contact with the inverters in the left side device list when I'm online with the CPU. The inverters indicates that they are ready for operation, but I get nothing from them on the profibus line. If I disconnect the profibus connector at the CPU does all the inverters go into error state, so some data exchange is in operation. It is also not possible to go online with the inverters from TIA V12 SP1 Upd 4. I have checked that the telegram I use in the CPU is the same in the inverter parameters. Lowered the speed to 93,75kbps, just to check if it was a speed issue. Also double checked the end termination switches, and they are correct. I'm sure I've missed something, but what ?

I think there is something else to mention.. (sorry Christoph to jump in) "TIA Portal" is the framework (glue) for several other programs. Step7 is one of these components and handles the PLC side WinCC component handles the HMI / SCADA system. So the question is.. do you have "Startdrive" component installed on your computer? Dear friend Christoph's nobel efforts would mean nothing without it. Next.. it would help Christoph (and others) if a screen capture goes along with your words. I hope this helps you guys in your discussion. Greetings. w

Please can you check at one of the Inverters what is configured in the Online&Diagnostics tab of the inverter? Here you configure the online access path of the inverter it should be configured a gateway connection with plc_1 as gateway. Regards Christoph
