For each curve set the line type to Fill Area Stepped Trend on the Curves tab. - Or you could use the WinCC Function Trend Control (an XY trend control). Write a script that plots the values onto the trend control. I believe there are examples of this script on the WinCC demo project which you can get from the WinCC Demo CD or the Comprehensive Support CD. Please speak to your local Siemens supplier if you need either of these. - Create a series of rectangles with a script that dynamically changes the height of objects. - Buy a third-party ActiveX trend control that has a histogram feature built in.

rit03 Silver Member Joined: 6/13/2006 Last visit: 2/11/2023 Posts: 341 Rating: (24)	Thanks for your advise, I got the third party activex control that can be used to develop histogram chart and I tried to registered on WinCC developement environvent WinCC V6 SP4 but I got the message dialog CCSelectOCXDlg and the message is "Control Could not be loaded" although the activex file has the extension .OCX. Please help me out regards rit03

For example I want to diaplay fill colour of the rectangles as per the last 24 hrs cummulative values of the tags or I want get facility show any past range of time. Regrads Ritesh

As it is a third-party OCX and you have not included any information about it I am completely in the dark as to why it gives you this error. You could try it in another container, such as VB or Excel to prove it has been registered correctly. Failing that you need to tell us where you got the control from so we can test it. Regarding the rectangles : to query a database you need to use VBS scripts in WinCC that use ADO objects. ADO is a Microsoft technology that allows client applications (such as WinCC or VB) to query a database. There are a few examples on this site and in the manual. However to get a customised solution you would need to learn the basics about ADO and VBS, make a start and then post here with any specific questions.

If the control cannot be registered with Windows there is no chance of it working with WinCC, sorry. You will have to contact the controls developers to troubleshoot why it will not register.
