Hello, which hardware timers / for which hardware and what logic do you mean. If you mean PCS 7 Time Sync, you can find a link below. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/de/view/109767559 Regards |

Hello Fariborz, Assuming I got your requirement right, here is some information for you. I presume you are looking for these blocks (system function blocks) and their respective functionalities for handshake logic: IEC Timers and Counters: (Compliance to IEC 1131-3 Standard)
Some other blocks which "might" be useful while creating a logic time synchronization is: SFB43 - PULSEGEN (For handshake logic) If my understanding is right, you can refer this manual for further information : https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/44240604 You may refer these forum discussions if this topic interests you further: |

Hello faribirz; It would be advisable that you show us a link to the document from which you are taking this information. At this moment it does not seem that anyone here is certain of what you are speaking of. The only "hardware" timer in a S7-400 CPU is the Real-Time clock, which you can access through SFB 0 "Set_CLK" and SFB 1 "Read_CLK" functions. All other timers are software. If you are looking at information on external clock masters for time synchronization in a PCS 7 network of PCs and PLCs, you might want to look at this instructive pdf: Time synchronization (v9,0)- Function Manual And please, simply repeating the same question with larger or stylized fonts does not help us understand you better. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
