How to install the OM Component for SImocode

Hi to all,

Up to now i read a lot of posts regarding the comunication beteween Step7 and Simocode, and the parametrization with PDM.

What I understand is that i have to install the OM Component during the installation of the Sirius Engineering.

The problem is that in my laptop i've already installed the:

SIMOCODE ES  2007 sp6 hf1.

Sirius engineering component global.

But i'm not able to configure it with the PDM and not even to found the OM object on the library.

Which software i have to install for to do it?

What do you want now? To use SIMOCODE ES or PDM for configuration of the devices?

If 'PDM' is your answer, try to install the EDDs with the 'Device Integration Manager' of PDM from this FAQ?

If you would like to use SIMOCODE ES 2007 integrated to STEP7 HW Config then start SIMOCODE ES setup again and select STEP7-Integration or something like this at the installation dialog. (make sure no SIMATIC application is running while setup)

After this you should find OM objects for SIMOCODE pro at your HW Catalog in HW Config.

i've  follow what you suggest and i have integrated the last EDD, but the problem is still present, because when i try to upload the configuration with the PDM, return me this error:

"OM error during the ID verify" and you can see at first page.

What you said is already installed, like in the page 2.

What is missing at moment are the OM component, or maybe i'm search it in a wrong position of the hw catalog.

Initially the Simocodes were configured with the gsd, and (correct me if I'm wrong) now i've to reply with the OM component. like in the page 3 and four.

Where i should find the OM component in hw catalog?

Hi,

I dont why, but i still have a lot of problem for the Simocode routing.

I've change the object in the Hw config with the OM component instead of the gsd, but im not able to comunicate yet,

now  i receive another error from Simocode ES:

"Connection to device cannot be opened S7DOS return code  (**0x75410001**)"  

please i need to configure it.
