I can program the PLC to set a retentive memory bit should any of the OB82 “bool” address be activated, which I will be able to see its last status even if the PLC go into stop mode. But how do I program the PLC to let me know which module has generated the error as per help statement below. “With a suitable program in OB82, you can evaluate further diagnostic data for the module (which channel the error occurred on, which error has occurred)” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

hi, what is your question about exactly? When a dignostic event happens, the PLC is calling OB82. Through the interface in the local data you know what event on which module triggered this call, so you can react specific on this event. There is also a application sample about this topic: With diagnostics-compatible modules how do you evaluate a change of the diagnostics status in the user program of the S7-300?hope this helps, regards, |
