I am having a IFM SD2000 sensor for monitoring of Air volume consumption. This sensor provides the pulse output with proportional to range set in the sensor.

1. How i can read the pulse outputs when i am using CPU1214C (6ES7 214-1HE30-0XB0) SI . 

2.  Do i need any counter module for this operation?  I found this particular CPU has a 6 HSC (high speed counter) modules. How i can use them if counter will be required for my requirements.
