How to send ZPL command string?

AutoGen_6985046 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi did you solved the problem? I have Zebra ZE500 over ethernet and I dont realy understand how to send ZPL command string.. In manual is wirren something about protocol. That i must defined header, sequence, data, calculate CRC.. I cannot imagin dooing that is too hard for PLC... Is it possible just send string over T_Send to some port and zebra print this instruction??? or do I must do full message with header CRC... ?? Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Communication with Zebra printer.

You can maybe find my answers on some topics with examples (also one is in WinCC (Visualization) Conference. You have available some SW with Zebra, you can send via it some strings and test it. From my previous prjs I've sent only specific sequence of bytes/chars and didn't care about CRC...

On your printer you have more interfaces for data exchange so due this option you need prepare code in your PLC. Zebra use own comm driver type so you need for first be familiar with this system and then prepare your solution. I recommend do search this forum for Zebra printer problematic to see some user solutions, problems. No problem with next talks here...
