i am trying to display a trend of point located in 2 array of int but i got nothing draw in screen

Hi Got_fr I am not sure if this will workbut it is worth a try. What happens if you create a X and Y variable in your PLC, Then cycle through your array transferring to X and Y a different value every 1s (or what ever suits) then in the f(x) trendview plot the X and Y variables Also rather than specifing a time range of data to display since WinCC may be acyclic to your OB1 and other potential problems affecting display, you could limit the number of values displayed to say the number of elements in your array. If on the plot it looks like you are drawing a big circle or loop (as you will have to keep cycling through your array from end back to beggining ) you can add a couple of fixed first values and end values outside your expected measuring range then fix the axis to a specifed scale (i.e. turn off automatic scale). pick suitable values for these start and end numbers so that the loop is outside the display on the x y plot. then hopefully you will have a curve driven by your array If you try, let me know if this works as I may have to do the same function next week. Otherwise I will post my result next week.

got_fr Posts: 61 Rating: (1)	Yes this is the idea i also got. for the problem of the loop from the end to the start i just put two boolean var in endtime and "start time" when i set start time to false it "erase" the trend. And that's suitable for me. The problem with this method is that it's not very "smart" and displaying a lot of point in one time would be better in my case. Because what i want to display is some real time measurement.if i made a point by point dysplaying i will be dependant of the at least 100 ms refresh of the trend. in 100 ms i can have more that one measurement ! i let you know if i made some try in this way. Thank you

Anchobi Posts: 139 Rating: (25)	just an update my suggested method works for my application as I only need to display a curve reflecting user configuration parameters so changes to data will only be as fast as a user enters changes, which will be seldom It is just passable, When you make a change it takes up to 10s to update and in the process shows the old lines. During this time my left eye is twitching and flinching as i conteplate getting rid of it. But as changes are seldom, it will do for now. I am open to suggestions to get it working at a faster update speed. some of the problems i have encountered in getting faster update speeds is having data being skipped by the HMI and then causing intermittent display glitches in the graph. So if Got_fr or anyone else have found an excellent solution i would love to know. BTW the device i am displaying on is a TP900 comfort

I am trying to do a VBS, but there is no such function to update points of the xy trend. I don't understand what was going in the head of those people that were making this feature of xy trend, it is tottaly useless. I read in some flyer that this trend can show you for example force vs displacement: Dear guys please, post this example showing graph of Force vs. Displacement, for a press that finishes pressing in 200ms with your xy trend. Another suggestion:the xy trend usually has nothing to do with time, that what's x-y is for: two variables that vary in time, but what is to be shown is y=f(x), not f(t) - therefore two vectors (array)

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, with the trend view object, you always display the trend of tags. with the f(t) trend view you display one tag during a time span. with the f(x) trend view you can display one tag depending on another tag during a time span. this is useful if you need tomonitor the relation of two tags. if you'd like to display static values you can use a polyline. you can dynamize the polyline with vbs. It is obvious that these caharacteristics was saved with changing a single parameter (like voltage, flow,..etc), measuring both of them and storing in table. The result is a graph F(x), time of this procedure is not meaningfull, the static characteristics is what we want. When storing characteristics is important to store details, meaning equal distance from point to point - this change can happen in 1ms or in 1min for same graph, it's not relevant. What is relevant is that graph F(x) rapresent a table of data x and f(x), no time, no single variable. P.S.: One another thought: The customer has always right. I am planing to make a project with comfort panel to view f(x) graph. I have an array of two, or two vectors same length ( a normal situation for one who wants display graph f(x) ), how can Idisplay this graph using all resources that this extra costly panel offers to display this graph?I would like to display it without flickering and not waiting for long time to draw this curve - it has to redraw all the curve at once, like everybody (my customers too) would expect to work.
