If upgrade to WinCC professional, does this mean you can have selectable trends on the TP1500 HMI?

I too have the desire to have a HMI historical trend view where the operator can select which parameters to view.  

I am currently using WinCC Comfort and understand this is not possible.  Could you please advise, am I correct in thinking that if we upgrade to WinCC professional this will give me the ability to have selectable trends on the TP1500 HMI?

In WinCC Comfort/Advanced you can only use 8 Trends in one Trend view and you cannot dynamize the Tag for the Trends.

So the only way I think is to use dummy Logs and copy of the Data in to this dummy log for displaying like in the Log term archiving FAQ:LINK

But This is not easy to understand, you need a good scripting and System know how.

In WinCC Professional RT its easy to dynamise the Tag for a Trend.,

Hi, 

My thinking is to use a screen on the HMI to select the 8 trends to be logged, the PLC can then move the logged values into the source tag as appropriate.  

I was wondering if there is a way to make the trend view 'name' parameter dynamic, perhaps from a text list? 

Alternatively, is there a better solution that could be suggested? 

I am using S7-1500 and TP1500 with WinCC Comfort.
