Hello martinrelayer The Y-Link creates a new independent DP Master system that is completely "decoupled" from the H-Systems DP Master system. As far as the H-System is concerned, it only sees the redundant IM153-2's andtreats these as one DP Slave that contains all Y-Link underlying DP Slaves as internal "I/O modules"(hence the limit of 244 Bytes of I/O data per Y-Link). The Y-coupler from whichthe new DP Master system starts uses addresses 1, 2 and 125 (see also chapter 9.2.2 of theSIMATIC Bus links DP/PA coupler, active field distributors, DP/PA Link and Y Link manual). I believe (but am not sure) that address 1 and 2 areused to manage the backplane link to the two IM153-2's and that 125 is used as the actual DP Master address (would be interesting to connect a Profibus Analyzer such asProfiTrace to see what is actually going on behind the Y-Link, perhaps soemone here has done it and can advise?). Anyhow, I suggest you try to configure 125 as theDP Master address in your Dataeagle Radio Master and if that doesn't work get in touch with Schildknecht support to see if they have any experience/advise with usage of Dataeagle behind a Y-Link. I hope this helps and please let us know what you find out. |
