indicating SFC82, SFC83 and SFC84 can be used to retain data?

createstars Posts: 71 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, As I read from some of the manuals, indicating SFC82, SFC83 and SFC84 can be used to retain data. I created a small program with just OB1, FC1 and DB1 SFC82 is included in the FC1. However, when i tried to download FC1. It seems can't and consists error. The CPU i'm using here is CPU 325 2 dp. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me. Thank you. Createstars

Hello createstars Your 315-2 DP(6ES7 315-2AF03-0AB0 according to your HWconfig) is quite old and does not support usage of SFC82,83 and/or 84 as far as I can tell (you need a CPU with MMC to use this SFC's). To be sure, have a look online in the "Performance Data" and check if the SFC's exist in it (PLC menu-->Diagnostic/Setting-->Module Information-->Performance Data tab). Gut feeling tells me they do NOT exist which explains your problem with the download (the CPU rejectsthe download of FC1 because you are calling a SFC from it that doesn't exist in the opertaing system of your CPU). createstars Posts: 71 Rating: (0)	yeah. you're correct about it. Thanks for the reply. But just the curiousity to learn, How do you actually use this SFC82 - SFC84 to retent the data for CPU? SFC82 is to create the data block in the MMC, SFC83 is to read the data block from the MMC, SFC84 is to write data block in the MMC, am i correct with these informations? Do you have any example program for these SFCs? Thankss!!
