KTP400 comfort HMI device not conneting ethernet

SenthilnathanTJ Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello, KTP400 comfort HMI device not conneting ethernet, we checked below Open Simatic ProSave. Choose in the Register "General" your Panel. Change in the Register "OS Update" Set the Setting "Reset to factory settings" Type your mac addresse in. Click "on Update OS" We are getting connection error Then we are trying to connet Primary setup tool , i cant find my device. 1. Start-> Control Patel -> Set PG/PC Interfaces S7ONLINE! and choose ISO Ind. Ethernet->"my eth card name" 2. HMI - power ON , start TIA portal ORPrimary Setup Tool,in menu Online-> Accessible device, wait to find your HMI ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from PROBLEM IN UPDATE OS KTP400 BASIC COLOR PN.

Zappa1 Regular Member Joined: 4/12/2017 Last visit: 8/25/2024 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi there I have the same problem with 3 x KTP 400 on one only the intial start up screen is displayed and it goes no further on the other 2 they go to the grey screen but just before they show the options for "Transfer" "Start" and "Settings", they reboot back to the start I have tried all ways to connect with them from 3 different computers using the mac address and from the normal IP and not luck. Is there a way to hardware reset them if you open them up!! I have to say these screens are not up to Siemens usual quality I have had 3 fail in the last 20 units we have purchased I guess now that they are made in China the quality is no longer there?

Is it a TIA Portal project? If so, what version of TIA do you have? Some versions have a bug in the operating system update file, that is causing this behaviour you are describing.
