License Step7 basic was not found ?

Hi,

I have Step 7 professional license, I could use S7 300 CPUs normally, but when I try to use S7 1200 CPU it says '' License Step 7 Basic'' was not found, even when I have the professional license, or does S7 1200 require Basic license to run?

STEP 7 Professional license is valid for programming all models of S7 CPUs (except S7-400H, which are programmed in SIMATIC Manager), so you should have no problem with an S7-1200.

Try selecting your license and right clicking > Check. Is the license "Status" in good condition?

Does the license version correspond to the installed version of TIA Portal?

Indeed, when I checked the version of ''Step 7 professional'' it is 17 and the Tia portal  I use is V18

So this should be the issue....

Is there a way I can update it to 18?
