LWE and Historical trend

Aivars Regular Member Joined: 1/26/2017 Last visit: 12/13/2024 Posts: 66 Rating: (3)	Hello, I'm playing around with LWE and find out that there are not historical trends in LWE and should not to be because there are no historical data available (Log file in SD Card could be accessed only by LSC). So I made some awkward programming in LSC and LWE and now I have "Historical trend". This is not an example how the LSC and LWE should be used but anyway it works perfectly. Each time I connect to the LOGO I can read the temperature measurements for the last 48 hours (one record per each hour). I even have a buttons to move trough the trend. Aivars Regular Member Joined: 1/26/2017 Last visit: 12/13/2024 Posts: 66 Rating: (3)	OK, the whole design is based on 3 main parts. 1. To store the measurements I create analog data shift buffer. Very simple idea: use 48 math blocks in series with "last value" property checked. For convenience I create UDF with 6 blocks inside connected in series - so 8 UDF x 6 math = 48 data values. You could use even more but consider that even in LOGO8 only 400 blocks is available (still lot of them remaining). 2.I use the multiplexer to send out 12 data values at once. All 48 could also be readed in one step if 48 Modbus data is filled or 48 analog flags is used. I decide to use only 12. Again for organizing the project I create UDF for 8 input multiplexer and use 12 such multiplexers. So in this way the data shifting in LWE is achieved. 3.In LWE there is no convenient way to create the graph of stored data - only real time trend with data stored in browser (or in LOGO web part ?). So I used the only graphical element that can be find in LWE - the bar graph and stack 12 of them side by side. That’s all. This is resource consuming project, but no "hacking" or custom web programming. Just standard LSC and LWE functions used. It works perfect and 2/3 of resources is still available for controlling purposes. Only remember that uninterruptible power source is preferable or the stored data could be lost. I have 12/24V LOGO so the standard accumulators and chargers could be used. I you really need this I can send also programs.

If you are happy to share your programme that will be a great help, so I can understand how it works. The video of your LWE setup is exactly what I am trying to achieve. If you are able to share any information on this as well it would be much appreciated. Thanks Again

The LSC part could be run in simulator with some "real" data. The saving speed is set to 5sec. This is not a finished solution just the working example. The hardware used is LOGO8.2-FS4 so the LOGO8.3 should also work. I added a picture with explanation of the LOGO program. Attachment Hist_Trend_1.zip (632 Downloads)

I want to capture an average temperature every hour, capture up to 12 hours worth of data and display all 12 temperatures iusing LWE, I would like the newest temp to replace the next oldest temp until 12 values are on the graph, and the last temp to drop off the LWE Trend bar graph. Basically I would like the graph to show the last 12 hours of average tempertures on an on-going basis. Can you help me? Perhaps and example for a few months that I could expand on? Thank you, Dennis Dingman

The 96 could also be possible (limited by Logo resources). And rememember at power loss all records will disapear (a backup accumulator could help). ddingman Aivars, I've been trying to adapt your Hist_Trend Example to what I'm trying to acheive, but canot figure it out.
