Regardless of which country the product is manufactured in, you will have issues. Personally I can mention suppliers (manufacturers) out of India, China, UK, Germany and USA that supply product that had problems. This nice thing for you is that the product is associated with the Siemens name. That in itself is a good guarantee. That is why when Siemens see grey market product (IO cards as example) using with their branded product they refuse to help.. but they will help when you use their brand right. I have had an out-of-box Siemens product that had issues and it was replaced without too much questions asked. I think you are save to use this product. We use it in far-away countries. Please.. why do you have this doubt? w

[/Quote] Two years ago, Siemens stop delivering of 1200 System for some weeks because of quality problems. It was hard to get 1200 CPU at this time. I am using 1200 CPU and modules and until now I have never had a quality problem. The 1200 is "low cost" segment, so the haptic is quite different from 300, 400 System. The clip that fix the modules together is a little bit weak. If something hits the cabinet (forklift for example ) the contact may be lost. So it is necessary to use stoppers at both sides of system rail. Eng.ahm Did siemens give a documents that these products are under its supervision and guarantee the products? [/Quote] Yes, of course. manufacturing in china is not done "under licence" but controlled and managed by Siemens. But remember, it is low-price Equipment. So some "quality limits" have the course in price, but not in land of production, as far as I can see (until now....)
